You enter into a booking with us when we issue our Booking Confirmation and payment is received, the customer is subject to various cancellation penalties as described in the confirmation documents and herein. Once a package and/or travel is confirmed, refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis; refunds for unused portions of Packages, if any, may not be available and are generally subject to the rules herein and those of the vendors who supply the various portions of the package.
We strongly recommend and it is our experience that travel insurance should be purchased to cover potential risks that may impede the customer’s ability to travel. The customer agrees that travel carries risks that cannot be fully anticipated, and the customer understands and accepts responsibility for those risks and hereby indemnifies us for any and all responsibility and liability associated with those risks.
If you wish to cancel or amend all or part of your booking, you should advise us by email at the following address info@explore-bosnia.com as soon as possible. A cancellation or amendment is effective only when received in writing by the company from the person that has signed this document and confirmed the booking. The following scale of cancellation charges will apply:
Explore-Bosnia recommends that reservations be made as early as possible to avoid disappointments since bookings are subject to availability at the time of reservation. A deposit (the “Deposit”) is required at the time of booking or otherwise as provided herein or pursuant to the agreement. When you make your booking you must pay a deposit of at least 30% per person of your selected travel arrangements. The balance of the price of your travel arrangements must be paid at least 60 days before your departure date. In certain cases, we may request full payment more than 60 days before departure where, for example, airlines require full payment on booking. If the deposit and/or balance is not paid in time, we shall cancel your travel arrangements. If the balance is not paid in time, we shall retain your deposit.
While it is unlikely, Explore Bosnia – Istraži Bosnu does reserve the right to cancel a tour prior to departure. Should this happen, Explore Bosnia-Istrazi Bosnu will make every effort to put you on another departure date. If an alternate cannot be found, a full refund will be made. We cannot be held responsible for penalties incurred if you have secured your own airfare.

Single-Day Tours/Activities*: Cancel at least 10 Days in advance of the start date of the experience for a full refund.
Notes: Your deposit is non-refundable and is transferable only (subject to the above-noted Cancellations and Refunds Policy rules If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges; as stated, certain travel arrangements are non-refundable and are subject to higher cancellation charges and could incur a cancellation charge of up to 100% of that part of the arrangements from the moment the booking is confirmed.
You can cancel your booking without paying cancellation charges if the performance of your package, or the carriage of passengers to your destination, is significantly affected by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. In such circumstances, we will arrange for your booking to be terminated and for you to receive a full refund.
For the purposes of these terms and conditions “unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances” are events that neither we nor the suppliers of any service(s) in question could, even with all due care, foresee or avoid and include, without limitation; war (whether actual or threatened), civil unrest, riot, strife, terrorist activity and/or its consequences or the threat of such activity, health risks, infectious disease, epidemics and pandemics and government measures to combat such outbreaks, riot, the act of any government or other national or local authority or the act of any airport, port or river authorities, unforeseeable technical problems with transport, airport, port or airspace closure restriction or congestion; flight or other travel restrictions imposed by any government, regulatory authority or other third party; industrial dispute, sanctions, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood, adverse weather conditions, volcanic eruption, chemical or biological disaster and all similar events outside our or the concerned supplier’s control.
