Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival & Village Welcome

Arrive in Bosnia & Herzegovina and travel to a rural village in the Konjic countryside.

Upon arrival, you’ll meet your local host family and settle into your traditional homestay.

The evening is spent enjoying a home-cooked dinner prepared with locally sourced ingredients, followed by a relaxed introduction to village life and customs.

Day 2 — Traditional Cooking & Daily Life

After breakfast, take part in hands-on traditional cooking and bread-baking using recipes passed down through generations. Learn about seasonal food preparation, local ingredients, and rural self-sufficiency. In the afternoon, explore village surroundings on a gentle walk through fields, forests, and farmland before sharing dinner and stories with your hosts.

Day 3 — Highlands & Lukomir Village

After breakfast, journey deep into the Bjelašnica Mountains toward Lukomir, the highest and most isolated village in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Sitting dramatically above the Rakitnica Canyon, this stone-built settlement offers sweeping views across rugged alpine landscapes. Walk through the village with your guide, learning about centuries-old shepherd traditions, seasonal migration, and the resilience required to live in this remote environment. Meet local residents, explore traditional stone houses, and enjoy free time to take in the silence and scenery before returning to the countryside in the late afternoon.        

Day 4 – Rama Lake & Rural Landscapes

Today’s journey leads you through scenic highland roads to the tranquil shores of Rama Lake, an emerald-green reservoir framed by rolling hills and quiet villages. Enjoy a relaxed lakeside walk, visit nearby rural communities, and take time to appreciate the peaceful atmosphere that defines this region. Lunch is enjoyed with panoramic views over the lake, followed by a leisurely afternoon exploring the surrounding countryside before returning for a farewell village dinner.


Day 5 - Farewell & Departure

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to rural Bosnia. Transfer to Sarajevo International Airport, carrying with you lasting memories of village life, mountain landscapes, and the genuine hospitality of your hosts.
