Welcome to Bihać, the historic heart of the Krajina region and the gateway to the Una Valley. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation and have time to settle in and relax after your journey.

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour of Bihać, exploring the old town and the scenic banks of the Una River, whose emerald waters have shaped the city for centuries. Learn about Bihać’s role as a former border town between empires, reflected today in its blend of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and local Bosnian influences.

For those who prefer a slower pace, there is also free time to explore independently—wander the riverside promenade, visit the Kapetan’s Tower, or relax at a café by the water.

As evening falls, enjoy a traditional dinner by the river and your first taste of Krajiška hospitality, settling into the peaceful rhythm of this riverside town.

Overnight stay in Bihac.

Day 2 — Una National Park & Štrbački Buk

Today is dedicated to nature. A scenic drive leads into Una National Park, home to the breathtaking Štrbački Buk waterfall.

At Štrbački Buk, one of the largest and most powerful waterfalls in Bosnia, a network of wooden walkways brings you close to the cascading water. Feel the mist, hear the roar, and take your time photographing or simply absorbing the natural beauty.

The afternoon is giving you time to enjoy the park’s trails, observe wildlife, or reflect beside the river.

Return to Bihać for a relaxed evening and overnight stay.

Day 3 — Martin Brod & Rmanj Monastery

After breakfast, travel to Martin Brod, a village often called the jewel of the Una Valley. Declared the most beautiful small village in Bosnia, Martin Brod is uniquely built around cascading waterfalls that flow directly through the village, creating a picture-perfect blend of water, wood, and history.

Stroll along the village paths with your guide and discover Bucinca, the centuries-old eco-laundry tradition where locals once washed clothes in natural river pools—a fascinating glimpse into the sustainable lifestyle that has shaped village life for generations.

Visit Rmanj Monastery, a serene Orthodox site tucked into the surrounding forest, offering insight into the spiritual and historical fabric of the region.

Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the charming waterfalls, wooden bridges, and watermills, or simply relax and absorb the natural beauty and tranquil rhythm of this extraordinary village.

Return and overnight stay in Bihac.

Day 4 – Ostrožac Castle & Bosanska Krupa

Begin with a visit to Hrustovača Cave, a hidden underground world shaped over thousands of years. Walk through spacious chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites and experience the quiet, timeless atmosphere beneath the surface.

Next, travel to Ostrožac Castle, perched dramatically above the Una River. Discover the castle’s rich history—from its medieval origins to Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian influences—and enjoy panoramic views over the Una Valley, a perfect spot for photos.

In the afternoon, visit Bosanska Krupa, a charming riverside town famous for its stone bridges and relaxed pace of life. Wander at your own rhythm or follow your guide for a short orientation around the town.

Return to your accommodation for a peaceful evening reflecting on the day’s natural and historical treasures.

Day 5 - Rural Life & Departure

On your final day, immerse yourself in the authentic life of the Una Valley. Meet local families, taste homemade products, and learn about traditional crafts, farming, and culinary traditions that have been passed down through generations. This is a rare opportunity to experience everyday life in Krajina and take home memories of genuine cultural encounters.

Afterward, you’ll be transferred to your departure destination, whether that’s Sarajevo, Zagreb, or another location, enjoying scenic views along the way and reflecting on the journey through rivers, waterfalls, caves, and historic sites.
