Your travel bucket list is not complete until you visit Sator Mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A rugged, untouched mountain with unparalleled beauty and a unique setting with a lake in the middle of the mountain is sure to inspire your next getaway or adrenaline-driven vacation. This unique tourist package explores the natural beauty of Sator Mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina by combining cycling and hiking. It includes a Bosnian breakfast, a barbecue lunch, snacks, beverages, and transportation from and to the hotel. It is one of the most beautiful routes in the country and is a showcase for its natural beauty.
Highlights:
The journey begins in Cazin. We will be heading towards Bosansko Grahovo, passing by two mountains, and descending to the town of Drvar. After the descent, the cyclist will continue on the main road for 19 kilometers (11.8 miles) and enter the beautiful forest roads toward Sator mountain. At the foot of Sator mountain, the traditional grilled Bosnian lunch will be served. At the top of the mountain, there is a lake, Lake Sator, which is 1,488 meters (4,880 feet) above sea level. If the weather permits, you could have an unforgettable experience of swimming in Lake Sator at 1,488 meters above sea level, and the group will set up tents and enjoy a campfire with food, drinks, and singing.

Afterward, we will hike to the top of Sator mountain, 1,872 m (6,142 ft) above sea level, to view Livanjsko Polje, Livno, and Bosanskog Grahova, as well as mountain Dinara and peak “Troglav” (the highest peak of the mountain Dinara in Bosnia and Herzegovina). The hike is approximately two hours, and the view is breathtaking.
We will descend from the mountaintop to Bosansko Grahovo and return the same way to the city of Bihac. The cycling route is nineteen kilometers (11.8 miles) long, and there is a possibility of visiting the town of Drvar, “Tito’s Cave,” and the Unac River. The additional price for visiting the towns of Drvar and Tito’s Cave is 10 euros per person.
NOTE: This trip is planned for 2 days with camping near Sator mountain lake. If you prefer to not camp in the tent, please contact us to arrange accommodations. Additional charges will be applied.
