This tour is a seven-day trip from Zagreb, Croatia to the National Park Plitvice Lakes, Croatia, and the National Park Una and Unsko-Sanski Region in Northwestern Bosnia & Herzegovina. It includes 6 nights in a private room with a shower at hand-picked hotels, daily breakfast, and lunch, two dinners, entry tickets for National Parks Plitvice Lakes and Una, an expert tour director, and local guides. The trip starts in Zagreb, Croatia with a morning pick-up from either Zagreb International Airport or from your accommodation. Our experienced guides will provide a short description of the itinerary and trip. The first stop will be at National Park Plitvice Lakes, one of the oldest and largest national parks in Croatia. After visiting, we will cross the Bosnian border for an overnight stay at Hotel Kostelski Buk overlooking the river Una waterfalls and untouched nature.

We continue our journey to the old castle “Ostozac” in Cazin, which dates to the 13th century. The castle hosts a 55-year-old event named Colony of sculptors, with over 150 sculptures displayed in the courtyard. We then visit Bosanska Krupa and its Zelenu Otoku (Green Islands), where we can swim. Stopping for lunch at a restaurant on the river and continuing the journey towards Bosanska Otoka, where we will stay overnight.

Travel from Bosanska Otoka to Sanski Most, where we will visit the second world war monument Korcanica, the Sanski Most, a city of 9 rivers, and the stunning waterfall of the river Bilha. We will also take a hike to see the source of the Dabar river and the large Dabar cave and stay overnight in a traditional Bosnian cabin.

We explore the source of the Sanica river and tour the old town of Kljuc and its fortress before continuing in the direction of Bosanski Petrovac towards the Una National Park and stopping in the traditional Bosnian ethnic villages of Čardaklije for an overnight stay.

Finally, we arrive at Una National Park, where we will explore and hike. Then we will travel towards Kulen Vakuf to site see. After that, we arrive at Martin Brod village, which has one of the largest and widest waterfalls in the national park, totaling 54 meters wide. Later, we are going back to Kulen Vakuf where we will be staying the night.

On the way back to Bihac, we stop in 3 traditional Bosnian villages, Japodski Otoci, Hajducka Voda, and Natura Art, sampling traditional Bosnian cuisine for lunch, such as begova corba soup, cevapi, fish plater, Bosnian coffee and honey cake for dessert, all served while boating on the river. Followed by site seeing and an overnight stay in Bihac.

After breakfast, we will take you to either Zagreb International or Banjaluka International airport for your departure.
We stay in a variety of accommodations in both cities and rural areas, ranging from 3 and 4-star hotels with private bathrooms to locally run guesthouses or traditional houses with more basic rooms.
All prices are based on 2 persons sharing, so if you are traveling alone, there will be a compulsory supplement for a single room for the tour duration.
Hotel Kostelski Buk is in Kostela, 8 km from the city of Bihać. The hotel has a bar, a restaurant and free wireless internet access. The rooms are modernly furnished and air-conditioned and feature a flat-screen TV, a minibar, a wardrobe and a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Some rooms also have a balcony. The hotel restaurant serves traditional Bosnian specialties and dishes of international cuisine. There is also a souvenir shop within the facility.
Hotel Eki is located in the very center of the town of Bosanska Krupa, on the bank of the beautiful river Una, which enchants passers-by and our guests with its beauty. The homely atmosphere, wonderful accommodation, friendly staff, healthy food, and, the surrounding nature are a guarantee for an unforgettable experience for all guests.
Prenociste Sana Sanski Most is the property has a terrace, free WiFi and free private parking. The units at this private accommodation feature with private bathroom and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Etno selo Čardaklije is located close to Bosanski Petrovac, in the village of Vrtoče. Čardaklije is in an ideal location – 30km (19 miles) from the major road Bihać to Sarajevo, 12km (7.5 miles) from the National Park, Una, 2 hours from the Adriatic Sea and 70km (44 miles) from Plitvica Lakes.
Domaćinstvo Una-Ostrovica facility is located in the Kulen Vakuf and has a view of the mountains, free WiFi and free private parking. Some units include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, and a private bathroom with a shower and slippers. Guests of the apartment are served a continental breakfast.
