The beauty of the mountains in our country is simply breathtaking. And you can’t say one mountain is more beautiful than another, because each of them is unique, authentic and represents a fantastic jewel of our nature.

We at Explore Bosnia do not consider mountaineering a sport because there is no competitive struggle, which is an essential feature of every sport. Going to nature and moving in the clean mountain air is an active way of rest, which despite the physical effort, fills a person with new strength and satisfaction. And that is the definition of hiking for us.

Plješevica is a mountain located mostly in Croatia, although a small part of it also belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It stretches along its length northwest-southeast. It is mostly covered with dense forest. The most significant peaks of Plješevica are:

• Ozeblin (1657 m),
• Gola Plješevica (1648 m), 
• Kremen (1591 m).

Plješevica belongs to the Dinaric mountain system.
