Itinerary

Day 1Sarajevo

The tour starts in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a morning pick-up at 9:00 a.m. from Sarajevo International Airport or your accommodation (hotel) in Sarajevo.
Sarajevo is a city where the east meets the west, with two civilizations and cultures reflected in city architecture and way of life. Sarajevo has a long-standing tradition of diversity and multi-ethnical character. It’s called the “Jerusalem of Europe” due to cultural diversity. It was the home of the 1984 winter Olympics. We start with a sightseeing tour of the city. We will visit the famous historical and cultural center of the town Bašcaršija,” built in the 15th century. Baščaršija is known by trade shops called Bazar with handmade products and unique souvenirs, coffee shops, and delicious Bosnian delicacies such as cevapi (small link sausages), sarma, pies under the honeycomb, baklava…etc. You must try it!
In the center of the city, there is the highest building, “Avaz tower,” whose terrace on the top floor offers a beautiful view of the whole city! We will also visit the spring of the river Bosna, a public park featuring the spring at the foothills of Mount Igman on the outskirts of Sarajevo.
After the sightseeing in the city, we will travel to the surrounding mountains where the 1984 Winter Olympics were held. From those mountains; Igman, Jahorina, Bjelašnica, and Trebević, there is an even more beautiful panorama view of the city! A cable car to Trebević is also available that starts from the town itself, where you can enjoy the views all the way up!
The mountains are full of ski resorts, hiking trails, river springs, and wildlife.
One of the most beautiful hiking trails is from Bjelasnica to the village of Lukomir. It is the highest and most remote village in the entire country. It seems as if time there stopped 100 years ago. Here we will stop for traditional Bosnian lunch. All food is organic. Lukomir can also be reached by ATV (optional package)
We descend to the town of Konjic for an overnight stay.

Day 2Konjic- Jablanica

After breakfast, we will go sightseeing in Konjic. Konjic is the town that connects Herzegovina with Bosnia.
The town is famous for its Stara Ćuprija bridge. It is a magnificent example of Ottoman bridge architecture in the Balkans and is a listed National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Konjic is rich in medieval tombstones called stecci. Nearby is the largest lake in Bosnia and Hercegovina, Boracko lake, where you can swim, raft, or sunbathe.
After Konjic, we will stop in Jablanica, a significant tourist destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Before hiking, we will stop for lunch.
The surrounding mountains, such as Plasa, Čvrsnica and Prenj offer a variety of hiking trails where we will hike to the popular destination Hajdučka Vrata, a natural wonder, the product of wind erosion, located 2,000 meters above sea level on the mountain of Čvrsnica. After Hajducka vrata, we continue our hiking adventure on the Veliki Vilinac. We will take a rest at Blidinje Lake. Blidinje Lake is an alpine lake located in Blidinje Nature Park.
After Blidnje Lake, we are proceeding to the city of Mostar for an overnight stay.

Day 3Mostar- Blagaj

After breakfast, we will see Mostar, our wonderful Herzegovina capital city. One of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The town is most recognizable by its famous Old Bridge and divers plunging in the river Neretva. Each year a river jumping competition is held here as part of the world championship sponsored by Red bull. On both sides of the Old Bridge are beautiful streets paved with river stone, full of shops in the style of the Ottoman Empire with handmade products and multiple restaurants of traditional Herzegovinian cuisine. The part of town Old Carsija is something to see. Neretva is a beautiful river where you can swim, raft, and kayak. Don’t forget to try their delicious ice cream, coffee, and beer.
We will be proceeding to Blagaj. Near Blagaj is a river Buna source, forming the largest karst spring in Europe. Next to the source is the famous Blagaj Tekija (Sufi Tekke), a Dervish monastery nearly 600 years old and situated at the base of a cliff next to the head of the river Buna. You can also take a short boat ride into the cave. That’s the start of the river Buna. Here we will have lunch.
Overnight stay in Blagaj.

Day 4Kravica waterfalls

After breakfast, we are proceeding to Kravica waterfalls
Enjoy the beauty of the Kravica Waterfalls. Nature is at its finest, and you will be amazed by the beauty and power of these waterfalls. One of the most famous waterfalls in Bosnia and Hercegovina.
Feel the mist on your face from the pounding waterfalls while freely swimming amongst them or enjoy sunbathing at this magnificent wonder—what a unique experience. Then eat lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Sarajevo.
