The river’s rich supply of Una trout makes this town ideal for fishing, and the natural beauty with well-maintained trails is ideal for hiking. It is a fishing and hiking paradise!

Itinerary

Day 1Bosanska Krupa

Included meals: Lunch
As part of the package, we suggest hiking on an accessible route starting at 9:00 am.
We start from the town of Bosanska Krupa and head upstream from the source of the Krusnica river itself. The Krusnica River is the right tributary of the Una River. Its course is only 6.5 km long. It originates in Bosanska Krupa and flows into the Una River. Krusnica got its name from the many mills that once milled wheat used to make flour for bread. After an hour’s walk through the shade of its magical stream, we reach the spring. A small hydropower plant was also built at the source, coordinated so does not destroy the harmony of nature.
We take a 30-minute break by the gushing spring and let it refresh us while wetting our face and hair. We then climb the hill above the spring and continue across the plateau through the small town of Vranjska. After an hour’s walk, we descend to another attractive picnic area, Sujnovac. Sujnovac, is rich in many sources of drinking water and is beautifully landscaped. We will take a little longer break there and allow all participants to relax and have lunch while taking in the magnificent surroundings and scents of flowers native to the area.
At 3pm, we continue our walk along the hiking trail following the river Sujnovac. Around 4pm, we will be in the very center of the city, and there we will visit the fortress “Pset” in the Old Town. Near the fort, on an area of only 100 square meters, there are three different places of worship: a Catholic church, a mosque, and an Orthodox church.
After visiting the fortress, we return to the hotel to freshen up. Then we go for an ideal evening walk around the city. The most beautiful part of the city during the day, and especially at night, are the “Green Islands.”
There are a series of river islands (Ada), which can be reached by a large wooden footbridge, and the islands themselves (Ada) are connected by many small bridges. At islands (Ada), various events are held daily, such as barbecues, live music, etc.
We return to the hotel for the night.

Day 2Bosanska Otoka

Included meals: Breakfast and Dinner
At 10:00 a.m., we will have breakfast at one of the many restaurants on the river Una itself. After that, we continue in comfortable air-conditioned passenger vans downstream to the towns of Bosanska Otok. In terms of its beauty, it stands shoulder to shoulder with Bosanska Krupa, but the most fascinating is its exotic beaches and sand. We recommend that you spend the day at the famous beach “Milincici” with plenty of nearby restaurants, jumps, and playgrounds. After a day spent in the warm sun and sandy beaches of the beautiful Una River, we plan dinner, and we recommend for lunch our local fish “Una trout” for you. For those not fans of fish, we offer a large selection of Bosnian gastronomy!
Return to the city of Bihac or your immediate next destination.
